I took a one credit hour writing and communication add-on with my Social Psychology class. After getting one of my papers handed back to me, I set it aside to look at when I got home. But the TA teaching the class expressed her desire for everybody to look at their papers then, probably to make sure we actually did read her comments. So I eventually took the paper out and read her notes.

As I had expected, I took her comments on my writing personally, and was defensive and grumpy for the rest of the class. Exactly why I had wanted to wait until I could read it when I was alone - so then I be offended and then calm myself down in privacy.
