One election day many years ago - all I'm sure of is that I was younger than seven and older than two - I accompanied my mother to the polls. After she voted, I asked her who she voted for. She said that it was a secret ballot and she wasn't supposed to tell. But I asked again, so she told me her pick for president.

And since it was a presidential election, and I remember who she voted for, I should be able to figure out the year and my age.

It was 1992. I was 6.
