When I was taking AP American History, a teacher who had taught it previous years held after-school sessions to help students prepare for the AP test. She had a ton of flashcards that former students of hers had made. For some reason, I took one set home with me. It focused on programs and terms related to the New Deal. At least partly because I had those flashcards, I ended up studying more about the New Deal than any other topic from the class. So when the test came around, I sort of hoped the DBQ would be about the New Deal.
It was.
I felt bad for my friend Ryan, though. That was what he specifically hoped it would not be about, because he felt he didn't have a good grip on it.
