My first year at the U, I ran into a girl from Taylorsville one day in the lobby of the Union building. We talked about a few different things, including my brothers, some meeting or activity she was planning to attend, and my indecision about a major. She said that my brothers were both studying sciency fields, and I should, too. This bothered me, because I felt that she was not recognizing that I am my own person, different from my brothers.
