One day when I was in kindergarten, after I was diagnosed with diabetes, the school was out of whole milk at snack time. The adults involved were very worried about it and my health. So they called Mom. She told them it was fine for me to drink lowfat milk, and that was in fact what I drank at home. So everybody was relieved. Except for me- I had known that the lowfat milk would be fine for me. I had not said anything because I liked the whole milk and thought if I didn't say anything they would somehow find some for me.
